For cleaning upper slabs, use soft clothe preferably a cotton clothe to wipe the walls. If you still find stains on the backsplash area even after wiping with wet cotton clothe then consider deep cleaning of the tiles. For deep cleaning, you can use a mixture of vinegar and water. The mixture will remove whatever stains are left on the backsplash wall.

For perfect cleaning, you can use a mixture of oxygen bleach powder with water and wipe your kitchen tiles gently with this mixture. The mixture will not only clean the tiles but also clean the grout. You can't use this mixture for regular cleaning but you can wash your kitchen with this mixture once in three weeks.
